About Us

Mike and Tich Marsh, the principals of Balkan Herbs, first went to Chepelare in Bulgaria ten years ago and totally fell in love with the Rhodopi region. We've lived in the Rhodopis ever since.  The mountain air, the views, the perfect weather - and of course the wonderful Bulgarian food.

We reckon Bulgarian food is the world's best kept secret. And one of the keys to the fabulous taste of everything is the locally harvested herbs, harvested in the mountains by local people for generations.

We decided to make these herbs, and the renowned local tisane known as Mursalski Tea, available to UK and International consumers via an efficient online service.
